👁 What is the SPEED Questionnaire?
The SPEED (Standardized Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness) is a self-assessment tool
designed to measure symptoms of dry eye based on a patient's subjective experience.
🔍 Structure
The SPEED test consists of 3 main components:
- Listing of symptoms (e.g., dryness, irritation, burning)
- Frequency rating
- Severity rating
🧪 Scoring System
- Frequency (0 to 3 points per symptom):
- 0 = Never, 1 = Occasionally, 2 = Often, 3 = Always
- Severity (0 to 4 points per symptom):
- 0 = Not at all bothersome, 4 = Extremely bothersome
